Overview
Full-bleed black is one of the hardest surfaces to print well: any variation in ink film, board absorbency or crease damage shows immediately. This carton is specified to deliver an even, deep black across the entire face, including folds and the glue flap.
Even black across the sheet
A four-colour build with a dominant black plus supporting process inks produces a denser, more neutral black than black alone. Anilox selection and ink viscosity are controlled per run so that density variation across a 2.5 m sheet stays inside a narrow tolerance band.
No white edges after folding
Full coverage is extended into the creases with controlled crease depth and a flexible ink film. After folding, no raw board shows along the score lines — the detail that separates a premium pack from an ordinary one.
Handling and protection
A matte or gloss water-based varnish is applied over the black to resist fingerprints and scuffing. Anti-slip coating is recommended where black cartons are stacked, since dark surfaces show handling marks more readily than light ones.
