VCI Anti-Rust Corrugated Carton
Vapour-phase corrosion inhibitor liner that protects ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts.
Overview
VCI anti-rust cartons release a vapour-phase corrosion inhibitor from a specially coated liner. The vapour migrates to every exposed metal surface inside the closed box — including recesses, threads and bores that no wrap can reach — and forms a monomolecular protective layer.
Protection that reaches everywhere
Unlike oil films or wrapping paper, VCI vapour fills the enclosed air volume and condenses on all metal surfaces. Threaded holes, blind bores, mating faces and internal cavities are protected without any additional operation on the customer's line.
No oil, no degreasing
Parts arrive dry and ready to assemble. This removes the degreasing step from the receiving process, along with the associated solvent handling, floor space and waste stream. Assembly lines typically see a measurable time saving.
Ferrous and multi-metal grades
Standard liners protect ferrous metals; multi-metal grades are available for assemblies containing aluminium, copper, brass or galvanised steel. Protection periods of 12 to 24 months are achievable depending on packing method and storage humidity.
Key features

Validated before production
Compression, drop and vibration protocols are run in our ISTA-certified test centre, with a written report and photographs supplied for approval.
Tooling in-house
Plates, dies and CAD/CAM structures are produced internally, so a specification change does not wait on an external supplier.
Documented compliance
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems, RoHS declarations and export packaging licences for ordinary and dangerous goods.
