Anti-Slip Corrugated Carton
High-friction surface treatment that stabilises pallet loads of bottles and cans.
Overview
Pallet loads fail most often at the interface between cartons. An anti-slip treatment raises the coefficient of friction on the board surface, so stacked loads stay square through acceleration, braking and cornering without extra strapping.
Friction where it is needed
A water-based anti-slip coating is applied to the top and bottom panels, raising the friction coefficient to a level that resists shear between layers. The treatment is invisible and does not affect print appearance or repulpability.
Field-proven in beverages
Anti-slip cartons are used extensively for bottled beer and canned beverages, where glass-to-board contact and heavy pallet weights make conventional stacking unstable. Customers report fewer load collapses, less strapping and lower damage claims.
Compatible with other barriers
Anti-slip can be combined with water-repellent treatment, printing and tear strips. We test the combined coating stack to ensure that neither property degrades the other, and report measured friction values.
Key features
- Stable pallet loads
- Less strapping needed
- Invisible treatment
- Repulpable
Typical applications
- Bottled beverages
- Canned goods
- Dairy and chilled
- High-stack warehousing
Validated before production
Compression, drop and vibration protocols are run in our ISTA-certified test centre, with a written report and photographs supplied for approval.
Tooling in-house
Plates, dies and CAD/CAM structures are produced internally, so a specification change does not wait on an external supplier.
Documented compliance
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems, RoHS declarations and export packaging licences for ordinary and dangerous goods.
