Chemical Carton with Hand Holes
Reinforced die-cut hand holes for manual handling of mid-weight chemical packs.
Overview
Where cartons are moved by hand rather than by pallet truck, a properly engineered hand hole is the difference between safe handling and a torn case. This carton integrates reinforced, die-cut handles into the structure.
Reinforced handle geometry
The handle aperture is die-cut with a smooth, burr-free edge and surrounded by a glued reinforcement patch. Load is distributed into the side panels instead of concentrating at the cut edge, so the case can be carried repeatedly without tearing.
Ergonomic and safe
Aperture height and width are set to accept a gloved hand, and the edge is rolled to avoid cuts. This reduces the hand fatigue that leads to dropped cartons and product damage at the end of a shift.
Combined with other features
Hand holes can be combined with a tear strip, waterproof coating or anti-slip treatment. Structural testing confirms that the apertures do not reduce compression strength below the customer's stacking requirement.
Key features
- Tear-resistant handles
- Glove-friendly sizing
- Safe, rolled edges
- Strength verified after die-cutting
Typical applications
- Chemical pails and jugs
- Mid-weight packs
- Retail multipacks
- Field service kits
Validated before production
Compression, drop and vibration protocols are run in our ISTA-certified test centre, with a written report and photographs supplied for approval.
Tooling in-house
Plates, dies and CAD/CAM structures are produced internally, so a specification change does not wait on an external supplier.
Documented compliance
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems, RoHS declarations and export packaging licences for ordinary and dangerous goods.
