Anti-Static (ESD) Corrugated Carton
Surface resistivity controllably raised to 10⁷ Ω/m² class for static-sensitive assemblies.
Overview
Static discharge destroys or degrades sensitive electronic assemblies, often invisibly. This carton raises surface resistivity into the controlled dissipative range so that charge cannot accumulate and discharge into the product.
Controlled surface resistivity
The board surface is treated so that surface resistivity reaches the 10⁷ Ω/m² class, high enough to prevent rapid discharge yet low enough to bleed static away safely. Measured values are reported per batch.
Inside and out
Treatment can be applied to the inner liner only, the outer liner only, or both, depending on whether the risk is triboelectric charging inside the box or field-induced charging outside it. This flexibility avoids over-specifying costly material.
Part of an ESD programme
The carton works alongside anti-static bags, conductive tote trays and grounded workstations. We provide declarations covering ionic contamination and outgassing for customers with cleanroom assembly requirements.
Key features
- Static bleeds away safely
- Selectable treatment sides
- Batch resistivity data
- Cleanroom declarations
Typical applications
- PCBA and modules
- Sensors and transducers
- Medical electronics
- Aerospace avionics
Validated before production
Compression, drop and vibration protocols are run in our ISTA-certified test centre, with a written report and photographs supplied for approval.
Tooling in-house
Plates, dies and CAD/CAM structures are produced internally, so a specification change does not wait on an external supplier.
Documented compliance
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems, RoHS declarations and export packaging licences for ordinary and dangerous goods.
